The second academic year, 2026-31, for IIM Amritsar IPM students will begin with taking the IPMAT Indore 2026 entrance exam. IIM Amritsar offers a one-of-a-kind, specialized degree with BSQFE (Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Finance and Economics) and MBA.

However, like every IPM program, IIM Amritsar will award students undergraduate and postgraduate degrees with the option to exit after the BSQFE degree.

IIM Amritsar will accept the IPMAT Indore scores as part of its admission process into its IPM program.

IPMAT Indore is an aptitude exam with 90 questions spread across 2 major areas, Verbal Ability (VA) & Quantitative Ability(QA),and divided into three sections; and is required to be solved in under 120 minutes.

IIM Amritsar IPM International Applicants

IIM Amritsar has also opened its doors to foreign or International candidates for its IPM program. IIM Amritsar has allocated 5 seats for international/foreign applicants under a separate Supernumerary Quota, in addition to the regular IPM program intake.

Application Procedure

Eligible candidates must take the SAT in their country of residence, submit their application at www.iimamritsar.ac.in within the specified deadline, and pay the online application fee.

Selection Procedure:

Stage 1:

Candidates meeting all criteria & submitting complete applications will be considered for shortlisting.

Stage 2:

Shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI) based on SAT scores. Minimum SAT cutoff determined by the Admissions Committee.

Stage 3:

Shortlisted candidates will have an online PI evaluation based on various parameters.

Stage 4:

Merit list created based on Composite Score (CS) (70% SAT Score, 35% PI Score, and 5% Gender Diversity).
